I received a safety recall notice in the mail in Jan 2015 concerning the alternator. I have contacted the dealership 8 times over the course of the last year and they keep telling me I am on the list and they will get to me. We are now going on 14 months and no action. The dealership I have been calling is : nyle maxwell supercenter   address: 13401 ranch rd 620 N, austin, tx 78717 I have talked with troy at extension 8011 on this matter. I have kept a call log on all 8 of my inquiries over the course of said 14 months and the last call was on 11-21-15. Still no movement in getting this 'what seems to be serious' issue. Is this normal ' cheers~ [xxx] 'information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

Attempt was made to accelerate from 60mph, to pass another vehicle. The accelerator was depressed and the engine immediately slowed, resulting in the vehicle's speed being reduced to a crawl causing potential harm from approaching vehicular traffic. Vehicle was not able to resume speed for several seconds even while the accelerator was being depressed. There were several close encounters with approaching traffic until the vehicle was able to resume speed. This occurred following a visit to the dealership to describe prior incidents. The dealer "updated" the computer but were not able to give a reason for the occurrence or verify if the condition was corrected.... obviously it was not. Where does one go from here other than to report it on this site?

There was no way to resume speed until several seconds passed and a slow acceleration was then possible.
