We travevelled from our Ontario Canada residence to our Florida residence on November Friday November 3, 2000. A few days prior to the trip, we had our vehicle serviced which included rotation and balancing of the Michelin tires. On our return, we put our vehicle in for service again on November 21, 2000 and we were advised that 3 of the 4 miichelin tries had developed cracked sidewalls and were unsafe to drive. On contacting, Michelin they admintted the tires were defective but stated their policy was manufacturer list less 20% which amounted to $107 per tire for the 4 tires. My concern that 3 out othe 4 tires being cracked and unsafe were ignored. The tread wear measured on the tires was 6/32 versus a brand new tire at 9/32. They admitted that the tires had been rotated, balanced and were not worn. I believe Michelin has far greater problems with the MX4 plus than they care to admit. We have filed a complaint wiht Michelin via the web and with Chrysler Canada. (tiresize: P19565 15)( dot number: Tire size: P19565 15 )
