This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The braking system malfunctioned due to braking system not being installed properly which caused rotors to overheat and extended stopping distance. This could hav E resulted in a crash.
Rear brakes improperly adjusted by manufacturer, resulting in front brakes overloading and warping the front brake rotors. Dealer adjusted the rear brakes and replaced the front brake rotors. Since the repairs were covered under warrantly, I assume that Chrysler (now daimler/Chrysler) is aware of the problem. I have a 1997 Chrysler Concorde which had the identical problem at approximately 12,000 miles. Very disconcerting to have such a safety-related problem with a car costing upwards of $25,000.
