Issues began with the alarm system sounding off at all times of day and night, with no tampering taking place. Noticed soon after that the battery was dead/drained.. After jumping the vehicle off of another vehicle I took it to have the battery checked out. The battery was PERFECT! But the alarm still continued to sound and more problems began. Then noticed the vehicles door locks continuously unlocking and locking and ALL interior lights coming on and dimming back off, along with alert on the dash saying a door was open (which there was no door open). After a month passed the interior lights would get stuck on continuously and had to pull a fuse out when I would turn the car off or they would stay on and drain the battery.
I've taken it to the Chrysler dealership where they told me it would cost me $95 an hour (ridiculous) to search for the problem & it was possibly an electrical issue(um, obviously). I can't afford that price, especially for them to fish around for who knows how long it could possibly take. So then took it to 2 other mechanics. Paid the mechanics approximately $100 each to check BCM & other computer systems(all read perfect)- along with battery, rebooted the computer systems, & check wiring to ignition BUT none of which were the cause. I can't afford to keep paying for these fishing expeditions without a conclusion, so all I can do for now is: manually lock each door, NOT use alarm system at all, cover the overhead lights (to avoid distraction), play music to not hear the ding sound from from open door alert, & pull out the fuse (which is for the all interior lights, the clock, the locks & the radio) at night time so it doesn't distract me or other drivers; but does make it scary to drive that way...
I have read extremely similar issues, if not exact same, on here and online but NOT even 1 way to fix this issue. It's obviously all in relation to 1 issue that's causing the malfunctioning but WHAT IS IT?????
I love everything about this car and would love to keep it as long as I can BUT I CAN'T TOLERATE pulling a fuse daily, can't use the alarm system which is important now a days, and can't use the radio now at night due to lights continuously being on, and ding sound.. This all is extremely distracting to myself and other drivers, also not safe or relaxing for my child...
