My car has been idling rough since January of this year. When my dad was finally able to look at the car we replaced the spark plugs and air filter. When we went out for a test drive after wards the car continued to idle rough. My dad was the one who pointed out that it was the idler switch on the AC because it only does so when the AC is on. I took the car to the dealer (whom we've never been impressed with) and they didn't even look at the switch (like we specified) and claim that it's the motor mounts. My dad said that he didn't think it was the motor mounts, but it's about time to replace them. Anyway we haven't been able to find the extended warranty so we picked the car up and will take it to another mechanic to see what they think. I just hate that the local dealer never listens to what we have to say when we tell the specifically what is wrong. My dad knows cars and my husband can figure things out, but the dealers look at us like we're retarded and have no idea what we're talking about.
