The tipm (the computer that maintains the whole car) is bad and needs to be replaced in an almost 10 year old vehicle bought new in 2008 with only 25,000 miles on it. It is sending bad signals to the wipers so I cannot drive it in bad weather. Although thre is a powertrain for life warranty, Chrysler refuses to replace the tipm. I was driving in heavy morning traffic it was snowing and the wipers stuck in the middle of the car causing me to be unable to see posing a danger to myself and others. The car also stopped dead in traffic on me a couple of times and there was nothing wrong with the battery I took it to the shop and they found nothing.

The multi function switch on the steering column just stops working. When this happens you lose head lights, tail lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and windshield spray. The switch has been replaced twice now and the same problem keeps occurring. It either fails totally or works intermittently. You cannot drive the car at night or when it's raining - it's a major safety issue.

During a summer storm several years ago with changes in pressure my windshield cracked from the seam about 4 to 5 inches out from the passenger side. The vehicle was parked in a drive way. There is no damage as though it was hit. It was simply parked one night and the crack was visible the next day. Since then, it is almost 3/4 of the way to the driver side right at eye level. There is now a second crack following another storm with pressure changes, starting at the seam as well just above the rear view mirror that goes down 2 to 3 inches and then goes to the passenger side approximately 4 to 5 inches. I have contacted Chrysler and they refuse to acknowledge this could be a manufacturing issue although research shows previous recalls on PT CRUISER windshields for the same reason of improper installation.
