The Classic problem with early Pacificas... Engine stalls, quits, and nothing electrical works. Few mechanics seem to know how to troubleshoot this. It is a simple matter of fix the ground from the fuse box. G-103 is the specific location. A spade connector is attached to a stud at the front of the engine to make a ground. If the wires corrode, then the ground can be broken. Simply attach a new spade end to clean wires (solder it), and remount to the stud.

invalid key and fob

I was returing home from on a long drive 500 miles, stopped at a gas station to refuel, and when I tried to start the car it would NOT start.. warning message, "invalid key & fob". this is the only key we recieved when we bought the car used 9 mos ago. I tried to jiggle and re enter the key. tried using a backup key that was just for the doors... the tow truck driver tried to re set the system by, shutting the car door and locking and unlocking, etc. to no good. it cost me $120. to have it towed to the local dealer, where it has taken a week to get it looked at and fixed. Plus the $770. to fix it.

If this has been a problem since the car was made, I feel that you should have a recall of some sort to warn people. this could have been so much worse if my grandkids had been with me in over 100+ weather. thanks, I hope this will encourage others to check recall lists. GLueder
