Well i purchase this car from a used car lot in July since i was expecting a new baby i needed more room cause i also have 3 other children it gave me the space that i needed. I would say 3 weeks after i purchase the car, coming from a trip from Florida the check engine light came on and it reading Gas cap so i went to auto part and change the gas cap that was not the problem, so i went to do an emission test, the car fail with a code of P0455 or P0456 one of these code, so i called the lot where i brought the car in told them the car fail emission and the check engine light is on, they told me to bring the car to them to see what's the problem so i did, when i got there they asked me why did i go do an emission test, telling me that the test that i did overwrite the test they did showing the car had past emission. They went and check the car, miraculously the check engine light went off, so they told me to drive the car for a some miles to see if it come back on, so since the light was no longer on went back to retake emission test, still fail same problem, now my temporary tag expire i was able to get it extended for another month till September. It been months i have been without a tag, have gotten several ticket with a tag applied for paper in the back of my car. I called a few mechanic to come fix, they come looked at the car and don't hear back from them again, i don't want to waste money i don't have to fix issue, auto part say it's an evap leak so i don't really know how much that will cost to fixes. I try to take car back to lot but they asking me to leave car for a 3 to 4 days when they like a hour away from me and have no way of getting back home or any transportation to get back in forth from work and they not even going to give me a car to drive until the problem fix, they told me to get a rental, with what money ????

Pacifica LX 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 93,000 miles

Have so far replaced main fuel pump and of course gas cap. A few other fuel system parts - hoses, etc. Looking at complaints now wonder if not EGR valve and/or TIPM. Hoping EGR valve because TIPM is a $1200 fix.

Pacifica Touring 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 99,000 miles

While traveling on highway, check engine light came on and loss use of two gears. Car would not go over 60 MPH. This happened after getting transmission replaced 3 months ago. Took back to transmission dealer who sent me to electrical shop. They first performed 5 pin test $693.00. Then replaced the faulty TICM for over $1,000.
