2006 Sebring, also have a problem with the horn going off by itself, more so in cold weather and for at least a year. With all the other complaints this is definitely a problem that should be a recall as this can be dangerous if you are in traffic and it confuses the horns intent. Have complained but have gotten the brush off from the dealer saying they could do nothing until they heard the horn go off.
I have a 2006 Chrysler Sebring and the horn in my car keeps going off for no reason while I am driving and while its parked its getting to the point where I cannot even use my horn at all when I need it but it will go off when I don't a few moments later and it wont stop even when I hit it.

45,000 miles on my 2006 Sebring and the horn starts blowing for no reason on January 1, 2009. The horn has blown sitting in garage, parking lot, driveway & while driving in traffic. I would say it was doing it about every other day, sometimes twice a day. It will not shut off, must keep hitting & pounding on steering pad to get it to stop. Finally had to disconnect the horn. I didn't want to get stuck somewhere with a dead battery or worse, get in an accident trying to get that horn to shut off. So now I'm driving without a horn, also not safe. I can still hear a clicking sound in the steering pad while driving, just like I heard when fighting to get the horn to stop. I have contacted my local dealer service department to see it this is covered under my warranty but of course they won't tell me that without running a $120 diagnostic, I told them I will not pay for diagnostics because all they need to do is contact Chrysler to find out what the problem it. Check the internet, mine is not the only Sebring with this problem. The other problem with this is that the airbag is intertwined with the horn problem and so fixing this problem runs in the area of $1,000.

The horn in my 2006 Chrysler Sebring goes off constantly. I have been told it iis a defective horn assembly and I have to replace the entire steering wheel cover and airbag at a cost of $630 for the part plus labor. My car is only 2 years old and I have 44,000 on the car. There have been numerous complaints about this and Chrysler will do nothing to help me.
