This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
As I approached a stop light and had to stop, the engine stalled, and I had to restart it from the ignition. It happened on three other occasions (once in a left turn at a stop sign). The steering problem is progressively aggravating to the point of loosing power assist when I make a left turn, and occasionally a right turn, also. It started as a small inconvenience, but at this point, if I am not very careful when I make a left turn, the car would go strait instead of turning.
As I was slowing for a red signal at an intersection, my engine shut off as if I turned off the key. It didn't shudder or give any indication that there was difficulty with the engine performance, it simply ceased running. I read a ap article on the Chrysler 200 engine stall in this mornings paper and noted that motor being investigated by your Agency was the same motor that is in my Sebring. I wanted to notify you of my problem to make a written record in the event that the problem continues or exacerbates and there is a need for me to bring my vehicle to the dealership for the problem repair.
