Going down the road, on my way to the expressway, doing about 30mph, the hood suddenly popped open and smashed against my windshield. I had the top down. If I weren't such a shorty this could have been an even bigger issue. Needless to say, I had the S*** scared out of me. I went to Chrysler and they really were not interested in helping me. They said that I must have somehow kicked the hood release. I assured them I had not. Even if I had, however, that doesn't explain why the secondary safety latch failed as well. My car is now in the body shop, I am driving a rental and am faced with paying $500 out of pocket for my deductible!! Thanks for nothing Chrysler!
