I change my oil every 3000 miles kept the car in a garage and pampered it. I was taking it to my mechanic due to an engine noise and on my way there the oil light came on then the car stopped running. Had it towed to my mechanic and he knew what was wrong right away saying this is a common problem says the engine cannot be rebuilt. I'm ticked off because I took care of this car since I bought it in 2010. Now to find out this is a common problem with this engine. What a load of crap.

I am very good with my cars. I have the oil changed every 3,000 miles and I use the blend oil which is more expensive. The check engine light goes on but it reports the gas cap is loose. Nothing about the engine. The car would sometimes tell me to change the oil after it had been changed but when I took it to Jiffy Lube they said it was fine. 2 weeks before the engine went out, the oil pressure light went on. I took it to 2 different places and they said the oil is fine, it must be a sensor that is out.

I was driving on the freeway, then got off the freeway and the engine just shut off! Lucky for me I was turning and there was no traffic behind me or there could have been an accident. I took it to the auto shop and they had to tear the engine apart to see what the issue was. The check engine light still says it's a loose gas cap! Nothing to do with the engine! So not only is the engine faulty but so is the alert system!

I have had cars with many more miles on them and they where much older and the engine still ran great. This issue needs to be resolved by Chrysler and they need to stop selling these garbage cars! Every Chrysler should come with a big warning sign on it so nobody else ever has to deal with this pain in the ass mess!
