A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
I have had 5 new transmission in 2.5 years. SIMPLY PUT, I BOUGHT CAR NEW, EVEN THO IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY DUE TO MILEAGE , IT IS INCONCEIVABLE TO HAVE TO HAVE 5 NEW TRANSMISSIONS. THERE IS A STATUTE IN TEXAS FOR CONSUMERS CALLED THE DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES ACT THAT EXPRESSLY COVERS THESE SORT OF PROBLEMS. THE DEALERS AND CAR MANUFACTURERS CANNOT HIDE BEHIND THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES BECAUSE THIS STATUTE SAYS THE STATE OF TEXAS, STATES THAT THERE ARE CERTAIN IMPLIED WARRANTIES IN ADDITION TO THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES. THESE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OFFER A LOT OF POWER TO THE CONSUMER "IF THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!"
(basically it says there is a reasonable expectation that a car should not have to have the transmission replaced 5 times. I filed a lawsuit 3 months ago.)
