My husband changes the oil every 5000 miles and we'd like to know we are losing so much oil. He checked yesterday 1/31/16, changed oil on 10/29/15, we should not be losing 2 1/5 qts that quick. He checked van and sees no leaks or where we are losing it. Please, can you explain? I hear and see people are having this problem too.

Town & Country Touring 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 59,681 miles

For a minivan that has 59681 miles it should not be burning oil and stalling or kicking whatever you want to call it. I bought this car in 2011 with 19,000 miles I thought it was heaven sent, but since I have had it something new every year. This year water pump $220, temperature value $30. Now this year it started burning oil. It's never a regular oil change, it is always over 80+ because it needs special oil or they need to clean the engine. Last year radiator $325, the y hose changed them twice at $90 for item and $70 dollar for labor. The evb or evr value whatever the name and 4 new tire $562. Please either recall this car or put a giant sign that it causes such much headaches. To own a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country you need a great credit card or a lot of money it made very poorly.

Town & Country LX 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

It's been using oil for years. Now using about 1qt for 1000 miles. Dealership said that's normal and to check the oil at each fill up.
