After driving the van for 4 hours of the 8 hour trip we were making the van stalled out on the highway going 70 MPH. The lights, radio, fans, everything but the engine were working. I pulled over to the side of the road and shut the van off. When I tried to restart it the engine kept turning over and wouldn't stop...the van was possessed...lights flashing and blinkers were going crazy. Van was towed about 25 miles to a Chrysler dealership where they found no issue but replaced the battery. Said that they saw error codes but the they couldn't open them because the problem had resolved itself.

This car was still under the 3,000 mile Used Car warranty but beyond the 3 month warranty when for no reason, it stopped without warning in rush hour traffic on a main road in Phoenix. It had to be pushed by Phoenix Police officers into a nearby parking lot where it would not start for 20 minutes. This has occurred numerous times since then. It has also stopped on freeway on-ramps, in shopping centers, and in my own driveway. Several times it has refused to start with my grandchildren in the car in `100+ degrees temps. The window will not go up or down and the alarm system goes off randomly. Even though I am holding the key fob in my hand, it says "key not detected". I have contacted the dealer and they have declined to help repair this VERY dangerous situation. I have filed a complaint with Chrysler Customer Care Center where I was told that I would have gotten "more attention" had I had a serious accident" REALLY FOLKS?? My regular mechanic has advised me NOT to let anyone fix except the dealer so as to make THEM liable for the performance and subsequent possible failure if it is the TIPM. Coincidentally, there was a class action lawsuit BEFORE I bought this car that ended in 2016. I purchased the car from Airpark Dodge Chrysler in March 2017. There is NO way the dealer did not know about it and I feel it's wrong and IMMORAL to pass a defective car onto,of all, people: a 66 yr. old grandmother who transports her 6 grandchildren on a regular basis!!! Who does this??!! I have had 3 Dodge Caravans before this car and wanted a Town and Country for years. This WAS the car I planned to own till I die. Now it appears I COULD die in this car! To make it even more bitter: I wanted this particular car so bad, we didn't even barter on this price: now we owe WAY more on it than it's worth!!!! So we are stuck with a beautiful car that is nothing more than a Death Trap. Can anyone help? Does anyone care? I'm having nightmares and the little ones don't understand why Grammy can't come see them as much and can't take them to the park and the zoo :( AIRPARK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP--Shame on You. Channel 3-- are you listening?? Sharyn White, Phoenix, Arizona sheriwine1950@yahoo.com

Update from Feb 10, 2019: This problems was supposedly "fixed" by Airpark Dodge last year. BUT ITS BACK! The TIPM problem hasnot been resolved and the car continues to frighten me every time I drive it. Will be filing another complaint with

Chrysler and dealer this week, but not expecting much. FOLKS: a Car Fax does NOT guarantee you're getting a good car!!! I would trade it in but I owe way more than it's worth. The dealer is USELESS. It's been almost 2 years that I have lived with this fear of being rear ended or worse! SHAME on Chrysler and AIRPARK DODGE IN SCOTTSDALE Az for this fiasco!!

This is the second time that this has happened to me while I was driving in traffic. The vehicle will just shut down and lose all power. This is an issue that is very dangerous and needs to be address by Chrysler. I took it in again and they still could not find a problem

This happened to me as I was driving on a busy highway. The van just shut down with no warning at all. I could not turn the wheel. Finally got stopped and put in park and the van started right back. I have taken it to dealership and they did all types of tests but could find nothing wrong with it. This is a very dangerous problem with this vehicle.
