van can't detect the key in keyless entry
This keyless entry business is wonderful when it works but horrible when it doesn't. I've been stuck a couple of times not being able to start my 2011 Chrysler Town & Country van and it's no fun especially when it's freezing cold. I tried using the emergency key and that doesn't work either. It doesn't seem to extend long enough into the ignition and it won't turn. Everytime I take it to the dealer they want over $100.00 to put it on a diagnostic machine to see if something else is wrong with it and can cost me even more money. I love this van but there is a definite problem with the keyless entry and I feel as though all of them should be recalled or they should fix the problem for free. Looking at all the complaints out there, there is enough evidence something is definitely wrong with the keyless entry on this vehicle. I won't be buying another one and if the problem isn't solved I'm getting rid of this one for a simple van with a simple KEY and it won't be a Chrysler.
