We had two Oldsmobile Silhouette Vans for a total of 13-14 years (the second for 11 years and 142,000 miles) before purchasing a well equipped/upgraded T&C. GM had stopped making mini vans so our only domestic option was the T&C. We were told of the great ride experience and premium sound from the sales person. We took a trip in the van to Florida (from Michigan) within the first 60 days of ownership. We were very disappointed at how loud we had to play the radio and other media to be able to hear it over the road noise on the highway. We had made the same trip multiple times with the Silhouettes over the years and had never experienced such loud road noise. We were convinced there had to be something wrong with a gasket or trim around a door or window or something like that - upon returning from our trip we took the T&C to the dealership and they examined it and told us there were no problems and that all alignments and trim tolerances were within their engineered specs. After several more months and other in-state highway trips, we asked the dealership again about it and they again concluded there was nothing wrong.

To this day, 68000 miles later, it is a terribly loud vehicle on the highway and Chrysler seems to feel that is acceptable!
