This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I am having my brakes replaced for the 6th time since buying the car. Just about every time, it has been the front brakes, requiring new rotors and pads. Since the last time the brakes were replaced, they constantly grind and squeal, making it impossible to know when they wear out. Everyone I have talked with seems surprised by the frequency with which I need new brakes. Since I was out on your website and saw others with similar complaints, I thought I'd add my input.

Right front brake system degraded to almost failure with 2 different sets of brakes. One on 7/2/99 and another in October 1999. Each set of brakes were good for about 1000 miles. After that break-in period, the brakes began to grind away and the rotor assembly was then affected. I am looking for any information of the brake system malfunction that may be due to something other than the brake shoes that were installed.
While driving, experienced brake failure, when made attempt to slow/stop brake pedal went to floor, continued to roll forward, premature wear of front disc.
