Service Dept accused me of being a hard - braker... today (Dec 15, 2009) I had car inspected for 30,000 mi service and brakes are down to "7" in front. whatever that means.

Update from Dec 18, 2009: Brakes are rough when in use - feel it thru steering wheel. I'm a little hesitant to use car at high speeds - but service dept (Toby) reassured me all is okay.

Update from Dec 18, 2009: The brake replacement happened at 18,000 miles - the noise was actually 2,000 miles sooner. I did not know what was happening everytime I turned wheel to left, grinding noise..turn to right, no noise. I had found on-line another Dodge Avenger R/T owner who complained he had to replace his brakes at 14,000 miles and dealer covered costs after much complaining... service dept at my dealer said since there are no recalls, they cannot honor warranty for brakes - or bring them in the on-line complaint. It was a Dodge owner in Ohio. Now of course, I can't find the website with the complaint.
