I purchased my 2008 Dodge Avenger from a private dealer about 2 months ago, I failed to realize that the only warning light that was illuminated was the air bag. After researching the issue I discovered that this light means that the driver side air bag is defective. My vehicle has 172, 114 miles on it. My oil light came on and all it does is ding and there is no code showing up. The tire light keeps coming on amd off even though all the tires have the right amount of air pressure. The airbag light started coming on if I turn the car off and restart it does go off but sometimes it will turn back
Takata recall.- I am approximately 2 years old with the light from the driver's airbag turned on all the time. I had it reviewed and I was informed that it is a defect in the bag and that it will not be opened in the event of an incident. Two years have passed and no revision is called for replacement. With the shift lever I was sent by Chrysler a notice to carry out a revision, I did it and today after 2 years being in a street stopped and trying to make the change to drive I could never move it I just got stuck and could not drive more. How many more times will I have to call to do something about it? because I had to pay my composure and Chrysler refused to reimburse me for that money arguing that my car is no longer guaranteed !!!!!

I was in a car accident and the airbag did not deploy and the seatbelt did not restrain me. I hit the steering wheel really hard. I have chest pains, and migraines. I am now waiting for my mri results. I was driving on a city street about to get on the highway. My car was totaled out by the insurance company updated 12/11/18

The air bags failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to operate as intended. The contact sustained a severe concussion, bleeding on the brain, a sprained ankle, a fractured nose, fractured ribs, and severe back trauma. Medical attention was required. Takata recall- I have been in two accidents with my Dodge Avenger 08. First was when I hit a deer my entire body was slammed into the steering column, knew out teeth and broke bones months ago, no airbag deployed nor did not seat belt engage. The car was in motion traveling about 40 miles an hour. The second accident was run off the road by a van traveling in the middle of the road coming at me. I had to serve hard right, I ended up in a deep ditch in which I slammed into a cement washy again no airbag, no seat belt, hit my head so hard I was knocked unconscious, severe facial trauma, back, neck and head. Still have no short term memory as well as severe back pain this has ruined my life. Invalid VIN consumer stated she was the only person in the car and there was no fatality. My son was traveling East on interstate 64 when another car came upon him traveling at a high rate of speed and slammed on his brakes. The road was wet and the other car started sliding out of control and hit my sons car in the passenger front door and push the whole car into a rock wall. The airbags did not deployed at all.
Lost control of the car rear of car hit a guard rail spun around a couple times and front of car hit an embankment causing damage to the left rear of the car and trunk lid and full frontal damage including bending the frame however the air bags did not deploy
