Avenger SE 2.4L 4c

  • Automatic transmission
  • 240,000 miles

First my driver side window wouldn't roll down, a few weeks later, the passenger side wouldn't roll up, and once I got it rolled up, it won't stay up, I have cardboard in between the rubber and window keeping it up. It slowly slides down and I have to constantly change the cardboard. About a month later my radio started going in and out, and then nothing but static and now it doesn't work at all. They are trying to find out what the problem is and I go back to dealer next week. Trying different dealer this time.

I bought this car new in 2008. Nothing but problems that I have never had with any older used car I ever owned. Put the power window down one day and it wouldn't go back up. I could hear a grinding noise. Turns out the regulator had to be replaced. On a five year old car? In addition to constant brake and rotor issues, headliner starting to fall down, alternator going out. Horrible car. Don't buy one, don't even consider it.

Avenger SXT 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

The window on the driver's door popped then fell into the door today. I'm not sure how much it will cost to repair. I just spent $1200 having the plastic radiator replaced, now this. I have always been a Dodge fan, but I'm losing patience with this car. This is the first Dodge we have owned that did not last 10 years and at least 250,000 miles before it started to break and fall apart. If I owned it outright, I would trade it in on a Chevy.

Avenger 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,000 miles

This was a minor problem that occurred, at the time the window was rolled down, and never came back up. I didn't have the $575.00 to replace the window motor. Therefore, I had to pay a dodge dealership to pull my window up and disconnect the motor for $75.00!
