The passenger headrest deployed/ snapped forward on its own while driving. There was no passenger, therefore no injury. I had this vehicle at Dodge Liberty in rapid city, sd last week and requested this be checked, the technician that checked it said he "had no idea, stated it looks like the plastic broke" when I got home I called the dealer back and spoke to the parts department, he said, "I have seen this before and that the part would cost $454. Is there a recall of any kind by Chrysler?

My airbag sensor has been on had a mechanic hook it up to the daignostic machine and was told it still had to do with the airbag in the head rest which was already supposed to be taken care of. Now I see there is a recall on the control/ sensor but my care is not on the list. Recall notice air bags:frontal:sensor/control module 12/4/2017 affecting 363,930 vehicles summary Chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling certain 2012 Jeep Liberty and 2012-2013 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger vehicles. A component within the occupant restraint controller (orc) may fail and prevent the active headrests from deploying in the event of a rear-end crash. Consequence if the active headrests do not deploy in certain rear-end crashes, the front seat occupants have an increased risk of injury. Remedy Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the orc as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 4, 2017. Owners may contact fca customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Good afternoon, to whom this may concern. My vehicle has the air bag light on and I have been going to the dealer ship to get this taken care of and every time I have gone to the dealer they are telling me I have to pay for them to remove the air bag light when a recall was in place for the occupant restraint controller, they fixed that issue but the issue of the air bag still remains. They are asking me to pay $139 for them to find the issue and then pay another extra amount to resolve this matter. They are refusing to fix this issue without a cost and it has been way too long trying to get this resolved.
