Bolt attaching the rear door support shock to the body broke off at the top thread. The shock immediately extended and tore the headliner. The rear door slammed closed in what could have been a fatal blow to our 2 year old child. Failure is a design flaw in using a shoulder on the bolt to put the threads in tension while a bending force is also being exerted causing the threads to fail. A very dangerous situation for small children as these vehicles get older.
