Went to start car and it would not start. Had it towed to dealer and was told about the recall P57. Then told I had to replace the wireless ignition node. But they have no idea when the part will be in. I called the NHTSA and was told the same thing. She said she will try to expadite the process but no one seems to know when the parts are available. Also cant get a rent a car since it was not an accident and the Dodge dealership wont give me loaner car since they don't know how long it will take to get the part. This is very frustrating and unacceptable.

Ignition switch stalling a couple seconds while trying to start the car was having this problem at first then the car wouldn't crank at all contacted Dodge/Chrysler they recommended that I take my vehicle to the dealership. After taking it to the dealership. After it being there for 9 days they told me that they had 0 avaliablty for the part I was needing and it could take several months before the part is avaliable so I have contacted every dealership and still nothing. There is a recall on the ignition switch for 2008 Dodge Charger but they told me its not for my VIN number. Now I'm in a situation where I have no vehicle and can't even buy or find the part to get it fixed.there were multiple Dodge Charger cars down there sitting having the same issue as me.

Upon purchasing the vehicle on 01/31/2015 the first incident where the vehicle just cut off when I stopped at a red light happened on 02/13/2015 and then numerous times after that, I was able to crank the car back up and proceeded to drive. I took the vehicle to a private dealer and he told me that it was an electrical problem, that the vehicle isnt receiving power to the engine. It happened again yesterday on 09/02/15. I fear for the safety of my children and that of my patients, my job requires that I travel from city to city receiving patient care, this is the only vehicle that I have at the moment and cannot afford monthly payments on another vehicle. I also reported this problem to Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership to the one here in enterprise, al and to the one in dothan, al and they both told me that I am on a waiting list and they will call me as soon as the parts are in. I can no longer wait its happening more frequent now.
