There is an issue with the AWD system. There is a clunking/shudder that occurs intermittently that sounds metallic. It is progressively getting worse over time. I took it to the Dodge dealership to get looked at but they spent about 30 minutes on it and told me they could not diagnose it. They said that it could be a CV shaft starting to fail but to wait it out and allow it to get worse. Since it is only happening in AWD, that does not seem practical. I am concerned that the AWD system will fail while I am driving in bad, snowy weather and will get into an accident due to this. I did say this to the dealer but they assured me that would not happen. I drive mostly highway miles and do not have another vehicle to drive. I will also note that I had to get the transmission replaced at 60k miles.

Took car in to South Point Dodge for a recall. The Canister Vapor was replaced, as I was smelling gas fumes inside the car. It was replaced as I was told. But I'm still smelling gas fumes. I called Dodge and explained that this was the problem, as I received the code: po456: Evap system small leak. Which is associated to the recall. Evap canister that was replaced. So I was told if I bring it back in, and the Evap canister is not the problem that I will be charged 250 dollars to have it looked at. If I'm getting a code that that there's a evap system small leak and I'm still smelling fumes, it's got to be that the replacement of the canister vapor wasn't properly replaced. So I'm wanting to have the recall looked at again without me being charged 250 dollars for a diagnosis test ðŸ¤"

When I bought the car all brake lights were on. I took it to Landers and they diagnosed the problem as a bad ABS control module and another part connected to it. I'm unable to use cruise control and my traction control is off as well. The warning lights will occasionally go off but they are usually on. Also the manufacturer has discontinued the parts I need so I can't get them to fix the issues.

I took my vehicle into my nearest dodge dealership, which is about an hour away from where I live. I had scheduled an appt. with them over the phone in which I had to wait because they didnt have the "parts"in for the recall. This specific recall was to repair or replace the PCM, or update it if it could be. I waited for weeks, and never heard anything back from the dealer, finally I was able to secure an appointment with them. They kept my car all day and I had to hound them to be able to come get my car as they never contacted me to let me know if it was done so I could pick up my car before they closed. Finally I called and 10 min before they closed I was told my car was completed. When I went to pick up my car it was still in the back lot and parked very tightly between other cars. My 2014 Dodge Charger's heat was all the way up and this was during the summer, and it still had the throw away car mats covered in dirt inside. After carefully backing the car out of their back lot I went upon my way. I had to reset my clock as well. About 4 months go by and my check engine light came on and my vehicle was reading misfire on cylinder 1, the light remains on, the vehicle shudders at idle and smells of fuel on start. Covid happened and i was not able to get my vehicle in to the manufacturer but did get in to my local mechanic and they could not find the problem but saw what the car was doing and suggested to take it to the manufactuer again, please note it is 48 miles from my home. I was unable to address this issue until now and it occured to me that the PCM can cause these problems and due to the lack of confidence and lack of courtesy I believe that they did nothing in regards to the recall.

The battery went dead and I put a new one in then a screen comes up and says wait for the vin to be verified but does nothing I think The PCM/ECU needs to be flashed to vin and it stopped communicating. I had to buy a new pcm but it-€™s not flashed to my vin and I saw there was a recall.

The inside door panels are warping exposing a large gaps, that can allow hair or fingers to get caught when raising or lowing a window. Nobody was hurt. But could be a potential problem for me or others. Also warping could put pressure on door lock pins, if the warping continues, this could slow the process of existing the vehicle or a safety concern if the lock pin does not allow the lock to close.

My car was parked when I noticed oil leaking from under the car. After getting this issue checked out it was brought to my attention is was the oil filter housing. After calling several dealerships I was made aware this has been a very common issue in all Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler models 2014. So common that the replacement part is on 100,000 back ordered.

On 9/21/2020, my car had and passed a state & emission inspection. My car was driven 200 miles from date of inspection to current date. When I started my car the "service AWD, ABS, and traction control lights came on in park." Took it to the dealership on 10/26/2020, they said it was the wheel speed sensor and asked, if I might have hit a pothole or bumps on the road. I was in disbelief, because I only drive on smooth roads and my car is barely moved. I've purchased my car brand new on 9/19/2014 and six years later, my mileage is at 26,420. From numerous threads, posts and complaints, I'm seeing a concurrent problem with Dodge vehicles in this manner. I strongly believe you should look deeply into this matter, because it's too common and costly. Car: 2014 Dodge charge R/T AWD.

The panels on the doors are warping away from the windows and the panels on each side of the shifting console are also warped out. It will create a safety issue when the door panels prevent the airbags from deploying or the consoles come off preventing a safe driver or the panels get under the legds or prevent the driver from safely reaching gas peddle.

I was told that I had the alternator fixed on recall and this is not true. I had the alternator fixed 1 year ago for $600 and it is now messing up again. I know this is a manufacturing issue and im not sure why it has me coded in the system as if I already had that recall taken care of. Please advise.

Vehicle air cooling system frequently shorts out, blowing hot air instead, even when on max cool mode. This happens while driving on city streets or while stationary; but depending on outside temperature can also happen on highway. It sounds as if the compressor shuts off. I have already had the system recharged the last two summers and having the same issue now. No freon leaks were found.

Last year I started to hear a banging sound from the rear of the car. Brought it to a mechanic (carmax) and was told to bring it to the dealer because they were unsure. So I brought it to the dealer and they said I had a nail in my tire so I went and got it fixed. The sound still happening I went back, this time they recommended changing the reinforcement tunnel. After that the sound was still there and they recommended changing the rear shocks, did that and sounds still there. They told me there is nothing visible that is wrong so everything is fine. If everything is fine why the sound. It has been a year and it is just annoying and scary to constantly hear that banging noise. It only happens at low speeds and it happens while driving forward and in reverse.

My 2014 Dodge Charger has now had the steering wheel and rod come out in my lap twice now while driving within three months. I have reported this with fca corporate, this is now my third report and complaint with the vehicle safety department, now two open safety claims with Chrysler corporate in denver and also have had the repairs done once by larry H miller I am trying to get the same repair done again but no one will return my phone calls and no one is willing to take accountability of this vehicle and fix it. Total care warranty has a contract with larry H miller for 12 months or 12,000 miles that they must fix the repairs no matter what. Larry H miller claimed that total care was not going to cover the fixes even though they are the ones that are supposed to fix it. Fraud, lies, unsafe and unprofessional practices. I have almost been in an accident twice now. The steering wheel literally falls out while I am adjusting it up or down even if I am going slow or in park. No one will fix my vehicle, no one will call me back. I contacted the dealership I bought it from since I am the first and only owner, and they will not return my phone calls. Gerry with fca management in the claims department in denver with whom my claims were managed by, now he will not return any of my emails or phone calls regarding my cases with Chrysler corporate. I will be contacting the manufacturer and the secretary of transportation and also file this federally. By law I should have an equivalent vehicle replaced since mine is a faulty vehicle. I have a defective part and already replaced and covered by my warranty for almost $6000 and now within a month the exact same steering wheel and rod fell into my lap while driving while it was raining took off my windshield wiper lever now I have no blinkers now I have no windshield wipers and now my cruise control and all wheel drive or out too.
