I recently bought this dakota, and the problem is that everything but the headlights come on. the high beams, trim and everything was fine. after checking fuses, bulbs, wires and connections i had a friend who is an electrician for cars told me that this a very very common problem for dodges. rams, interpids, dakotas all are effected. the actual switch is the problem, a small wore inside disconnects and its a crap shoot if your lights will come back on. i went to buy one from a junk yard, same problem its intermitent but i dont know why dodge didnt recall this. its $90 from the dealer, and it doesnt take long to put in. just so you dont take your car to the mechanic and spend alot of pointless money ill save you the trouble. your welcome :)
