CarComplaints.com Notes: The first year of the new Dodge Dart had a rough start, with owners reporting a disproportionate number of engine and transmission problems.
For transmission, the main complaints are transmission failure & rough shifting. So far, average mileage for transmission failure is 25,000 miles. Not good.
For engine problems, it usually starts with the engine light coming on for any number of reasons: bad sensors, ignition coil replacement, bad wiring, faulty gas cap ... dealers are replacing various components with varying degrees of success, or telling owners they can't duplicate the issue.
I hate that I don't even touch my car anywhere but door handles and I never hit anything but I feel like half of my paint is off (it's really like 5 scratches)but some are wide enough to see at a distance
I purchased the car in December and when you look at the car in certain lighting you see swirls and scratches on the clear coat car has never been waxed or taken through car wash. I spend hours cleaning it carefully since it is a brand new car. I called the manufacturing company and they told me to have the dealership take pictures good luck getting pictures it's all about the lighting and last time I checked the guys at the dealership are not much of photographers. I'm gonna take it to a auto body shop were a professional can give me their opinion.
