For transmission, the main complaints are transmission failure & rough shifting. So far, average mileage for transmission failure is 25,000 miles. Not good.
For engine problems, it usually starts with the engine light coming on for any number of reasons: bad sensors, ignition coil replacement, bad wiring, faulty gas cap ... dealers are replacing various components with varying degrees of success, or telling owners they can't duplicate the issue.
I was on my way out of town. I'm going 70 mph and out of nowhere the engine just slowed down to 35 mph. I almost got hit by other cars. I was one hour away from my home headed down 77 north and I had to drive all the way back home on the highway at 35 mph with my flashers on. I had to continuously change the gear to maintain the 35 mph. When I got home I called the dealership and was told they would come pick it up and fix it. When it was time to pick up my car. He charged me 185.00 for an oil change and I had just had the oil changed a month before this occurred. I got my car back and two weeks later it did the very same thing. This company was aware of these problems way before selling the car to me. The dealership is George's Quik Auto Credit in Charlotte NC. I feel as if I should be compensated for my loss. I purchased this car in March of 2025, but being that it was a 2013 I could not get an attorney to help me. So finally, I couldn't take it anymore, so I did a volunteer surrender and gave it back.
