I pulled into a store parking spot and it would not shift out of drive. Thankfully my husband figured it out. He tried the reset button but that didn't fix it. He looked under the hood and seen the transmission cable was not connected. So he pulled on the cable to put it in park then reverse and drive so I could get it home. He looked it up online and found its a bushing. Haven't found a auto part store that can get them. Don't want to pay $50. from the dodge dealer.

Dart SXT 2.4L Ltr

  • Automatic transmission
  • 49,215 miles

Every since the update this car does not shift properly. The car has been in the shop several times with the service saying the car is running fine. Not sure what or where to go from here. The car has had other problems with oil consumption and touch screen radio coming off and on and resetting.

Dart Navy 2.4L

  • CVT transmission
  • 900 miles

It slips, it does not downshift correctly. I have had it in the shop 4 times and they "can't find the problem". When you slow down the pick speed back up, it does not downshift. It stays in the high gear. 6th gear at 30 mph. bogging down. I think its whats causing my low mileage 11 mpg

Dart GT 2.4L

lack of low speed power

Car sometimes has no power at low speed. dangerous not knowing how car will respond when entering traffic. Dealer found no code and said he could not duplicate problem. Very easy to duplicate, just drive the car! Dealer was no help!! They sent me home with no fix.

Update from May 1, 2014: Found a way to verify my complaint. Just hit autoshift to manual mode and it shows that I am starrting in second gear and holding with no downshifting. Told dealer, technician said he could not duplicate problem. Took service manager for ride and to his surprise I easily duplicated the problem for him. Dodge case manager said she has to stand by the technician who could not find anything wrong. Service manager said it was a new transmission and they don't know how to fix. Engineering was of no help in finding a solution. I'm stuck with a car that is unsafe and Dodge will not help. I have to trade in this car with 350 miles on it to avoid getting into an accident.
