Durango LX 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 93,000 miles

We bought this car in November of 2021. The car had some minor issues like alignment needed to be fixed, breaks changed etc. Which the dealer we bought it from was great about. However, this car was in the shop more than we had it. We technically owned the car for 3 weeks and out of the 3 weeks we owned it, Two of those weeks were spent in the shop. The fey fob would be in the car, foot on the break and the car would not start. We waited a few mins and then tried again, and it started. I thought it might have been the battery in the key fob was going bad, So I replaced that with a battery (which i bought from dodge) and thought maybe that would fix the issues. Well, it didn't. I was trying to leave work and it did it twice more. After all the issues we had with this duragno, We are now in the process of the dealership buying it back from us.

Durango R/T 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

Went to start my Durango after a night of rain, and the engine wouldn't turn over/start, but the instrument cluster was on. Worse, I couldn't turn it off! The ignition was stuck in "run" for hours, with the P/R/N/D lights all lit, and it said "service transmission, continue in D. do not shift or turn engine off". But it wouldn't turn off. I had to disconnect the battery from the fuse box. Oddly enough, it turned on properly after I did that. U0100 error. This Durango continues to behave erratically almost every time it rains.

Went to start my Durango, engine wouldn't turn over. All electronics worked fine. Waited a day, and then it started. Took it to the dealership, they claimed they couldn't replicate the issue, then after 5 days of having it and me complaining to corporate, they said that getting a new battery would fix it. Guess what, it didn't fix the problem, and my Durango still randomly won't start. Seems to happen more frequently when it rains hard. (u0100 error)
