I was about to get on a major interstate when my left wheel and right wheel went into different directions. How is it possible that I had no steering capability at all. Shouldn't some steering ability exist always except in the case of no power. Had I gotten on I-95 I would have crashed having absolutely no ability to control direction even an eight of an inch.
I think that is enough to tell you this model has defects too many to mention. I think Dodge should allow some sort of renumeration on repairs or a nice reasonable discount on future purchases since this is my second Dodge.
My wife was on her way to work when she heard a pop as she turned the corner at approx.15mph. She then lost all steering. The steering wheel would turn, but the wheels would not. The car was towed to the dealer, where they determined the rack an pinion steering had broke. The dealer replaced the steering gear and both inner tie rod ends at no charge for the parts. There was a labor charge $403.60 I feel this is a safety issue and I am just glad she was not at a higher speed when this happened.
Fuel injection rail "O" rings failed, causing fuel to leak on engine. Notified dealer. He told me they would not fix the problem. We spent $997 on repairs and were amased this was not recalled as a safety defect. Also, rack and pinion steering malfunctioned.
