I had the brakes fixed front and back on July 13,2018. The front brakes went total out. I was driving the car when this happened. The brake light came on. I finally got home. The next day was July 13, 2018 I call the auto repair shop to take care problem. I told them to go a head fixed the front and back brakes. It cost me $1,800.00. Had buy rotors, brake pads, drums and etc.......

How long are brakes supose to last on a 2009 Dodge Jouney SXT? Is there a recall on the brake system?

If their a recall on the brake system maybe some out there can let me know. Please write me at countrysingerlucy@gmail.com.

Now having a problem now with the brakes. When I go to put on brake come up on a stop lights my car goes past line. I had a car that pull in front of my car. I couldn't brake so I run off the road so I wouldn't hit the car in front of me.

Thank you for reading this.

Journey R/T 3.5L

  • CVT transmission

WHEN YOU DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SHIFT IN REVERSE OR DRIVE, AND AT STOP LIGHT, THE BRAKE PEDAL SLOWLY GOES DOWN AND HITS THE FLOOR.

HAVE THE BRAKE POWER BOOSTER REPLACED AT A DODGE DEALERSHIP; BUT STILL HAVE SAME ISSUE AND SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THAT IT'S NORMAL-UNBELIEVABLE!!

ACTUALLY, IT WORSENED THAN BEFORE WARRANTY SERVICE WAS DONE; BECAUSE IT IS VERY SPONGY WHEN PUSH ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT MAKES A LOUD CLICKING NOISE UNDERNEATH THE SHIFTER.

ANY ADVICE TO APPEAL WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

After coming to a stop the brake pedal will continue to depress to the floorboard. Dealership was told of this and they said we needed to do about 10 high speed stops and the pedal would adjust. Dodge refuses to see this as a problem. Go figure. Seems to me this is definitely a dangerous issue.
