I purchase this vehicle two years ago from Bleekers Auto in Dunn. I have had the breaks replaced at least 5 times. The rotors have been replaced two times and now as of the day August 17, 2012 my vehicle is in the shop for repairs again after putting just 6,000 miles. The company has made me lose many hours from work and so much money.

Dealer replaced all brake pads and rotors under warranty. Have to return all the time.

We own a 2009 dodge journey. noticed brakes were starting to wear. received a letter from dodge stating the extended warranty but we were just over the mileage at 38000. We replaced the front pads and rotors. that was last summer, we noticed not long after the brakes smelt funny and they are starting to wear again and need replacing at 55000 miles. what a pain in the behind.

Bought a 2009 Journey in 2009. By 15,000 miles we learned that the rotors and brakes were warped and from then on about every 6 months they have to be replaced. We do not drive the car much. I really think there should be a class action lawsuit for all the PREMATURE wear on the rotors and brakes! It is a huge safety violation.

Also why did they put the battery locked underneath things, so my DISABLED husband could not replace the battery????

I don't understand why the passenger side rear break needed a new pads.caliper and rotor at only 33000 miles. I would think the front brakes,which work harder would go bad faster then the rear. This happened on only one rear break but I had to replace both sides.

replaced rotor and pad , then was told brake line collapsed.

Back again for same problem. Dealer and Chrysler won't do anything.

Like most Journey owners, replaced brakes at 12000, then at 24000, again at 36000 and had to do rotors also.None of this was covered by warranty. sucks!

Definitely undersized rotors for the weight. Brake should not wear out after 29000 miles. I did the brake job myself, and did I mention, I hate working on brand new cars. That is the reason I bought one.

I have changed the brake pads on my 2009 Journey a least 4 times since I have had it. I have changed my back brakes twice. I have ask about recalls and was told there has been none. I have never had a car that i had to change the brake pads so much. This car is awefully made.

Had the front brakes and rotors replaced on a recall, now the backs need to be done. The back right side is real bad where the left side has some useable material left.

3rd time of replacing the brakes! this is ridiculous! Dodge has used poor quality parts and cut corners. I wonder if this vehicle is even safe to drive with my kids in the car. Am I going to have to replace the brakes every 3,000 to 5,000 miles?

1. front rotors replaced at 24,618 miles

   2. rear brake rotors resurfaced at 43,341 miles.

   3. rear rotors replaced at 54,068 miles.

I have had this worked on 4 times. I have gone thru 3 sets of tires in 4 years. They wont replace the rotors.. They want me to pay for it.. Talking to Chrysler is USELESS. I have also had the GPS go out.. the replaced the Whole Radio/GPS. Right now it in the shop again. (the 7th time is two years) because the entire electrical system just went out. No air, windows, locks, turn signals, nothing would work., THANK GOD I got the extended warranty but this car is a serious POS!
