When using right turn signal dome lights turn on, if cruise contrail is on cannot use brights will shut off cruise by itself, car stalls, and will not always start, when it does start many times will stall right away, and when driving stalls. Air bag light on which have read can mean airbag fail to deploy.

The contact owns a 2009 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled on several occasions. While driving approximately 60 mph on a major highway, the vehicle stalled causing the contact to crash into a brick wall. The drivers side air bag deployed with force however the front passenger side air bag failed to deploy. The driver sustained neck pains, body pains, muscle spasms in the left arm and scarring to the left arm. The front passenger sustained head, mouth and face injury due to no air bag deployment. Both received further medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed and a dealer was not contacted. The contact was unaware that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (air bags and electrical system) as the vehicle was not purchased from a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and the crash to determine if they may open an investigation. The approximate failure mileage was 146,000.

The contact owns a 2009 Dodge Journey. While driving approximately 30 mph, all the air bags deployed without warning or impact and the air bag indicator illuminated. The contact sustained injuries that later required medical attention. The police arrived and gave the contact a form to complete, but no police report was filed. The sheriff allowed the contact to drive the vehicle home. The contact called benny boyd lockhart Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (512-227-2266, located at 2000 S Colorado St, lockhart, tx 78644) who stated that the contact would be responsible for the repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that someone would call. The contact had not been called back. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

Master window switch quit working, bought a new switch that didnt fix it and so I did some research and see there was a recall on these vehicles for the copyright 2011, Chrysler group llc, all rights reserved February 2011 dealer service instructions for: Safety recall K07 front door wiring harnesses 2009 (jc) Dodge Journey note: This recall applies only to the above vehicles built from November 01, 2007 through November 07, 2008 (mdh 110122 through 110723) which also effects my lighting and possibly airbags. I have children that's not acceptable.

The contact was informed that there were two recalls: NHTSA campaign numbers: 16V047000 (air bags) and 14V37300 (electrical system, air bags). The contact was referred back to the dealer where the recalls were repaired; however, the air bag indicator remained illuminated after the repairs. The technician recommended diagnostic testing to determine the cause of the air bag issue. The contact did not want to be responsible for the diagnostic test fee; therefore, the test was not performed and the failure was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 106,000.

Upon taking apart the vehicle, the contact noticed that the parts were not the correct ones. The vehicle was reassembled and the parts were ordered. The next day, while traveling at highway speeds, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to stop the vehicle, which resulted in a front end collision. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue.
