The clvehicke will stall at slow motion and on highway dash lights will flicker and eventually shut off -€¦ only thing that helps is to wiggle the wiring harness until dash comes back

Engine light multiple times- emissions control - last time to dealer they stated there is 4 leaks. Found online but did not receive a recall: In affected cars, fca will replace the catalytic converter and update software for the powertrain control module ' that is, your car's primary drivetrain computer. Fca will recycle the old catalytic converter to remove the precious metals common in such devices, a usual practice. 'obviously the catalytic converter, that's the biggest part of this, ' chernoby said. The replacement converter has a 'different mixture of precious metals ' to be less susceptible to sulfur in the fuel, ' he added. Due to the number of replacement catalytic converters needed, the automaker is recalling cars in waves. I was driving my car at approximately 50 miles per hour, when it seems like my steering or the wheels seemed "off.' I checked to make sure all of my tires were correctly pressured and they were, so I kept driving. Approximately 20 miles down the road, well going approximately 60 miles per hour the electronic stability control light came on post flashing and with an off symbol underneath it in two separate locations. Also the red lightning bolt symbol came on as well. At the same time that the lights came on my car decelerated at a rapid pace, which was not at all safe on the highway. I immediately turned on my flashers and pulled to the side of the road. After getting on my phone to see what it could be, I decided that I would limp home with the car so I could research a little further what was going on at home. While I was driving home afterward, the car never got faster than about 20 miles per hour and accelerated at a very, very slow pace. The air conditioner no longer worked and when I had to drive up a very small hill, the car seemed like it would stop completely.

Our back-up camera goes dark frequently or flips upside down while backing up and we almost hit a childt that ran behind us suddenly. Also, the vehicle won't shift into low gear when in automatic and going up hills, but shifts in manual, and it suddenly just slows down while in drive, which has caused us to almost get rear-ended several times. Finally, our tire sensors show low pressure, but when we replaced them all the tire symbol still showed up. Because our engine light is on, we took it in for a diagnostic. We were told the only problem is that we need a software update that would correct all these problems. We were told we would have to pay for it, but it seems it should be a recall item because of the safety issues.

My vehicle started knocking after my second oil change. I asked the dealership to look at it and they told me everything was fine. I asked them more than once over the next few years when I got regular oil changes. They said everything was fine. Then in 2016 my vehicle started with a knocking and random misfires. I took it to the dealership and was told that my cams were blown, my pistons were not working and my lifters were bad. My car is four years old. All of these problems culminate in no power to my engine and a possible seizure of my engine. I am requesting this be looked into.

The problem started right after I got the vehicle home, the power window did not work nor the power lock. When started the heat and air control would reset themselves. Also, the clock and radio would go on and off on its own. Now the problems have increased, my slip resistance is not working, I am hearing all sorts of noises underneath the vehicle, especially when turning. Also, I am using more gas mileage than what is told about the vehicle, to be honest if I had it to do over again I would have never traded my truck in on this vehicle. But, now I am stuck with it and the payments even when it comes to the point of the need of parking the vehicle because I will not risk my families life in a vehicle that has as many problems has this one is having.

The 2012 Journey was being used to jumpstart a 1997 F 350 Ford truck. The F 350 was not running while the Journey was. Jumper cables were attached correctly. The women jumping the car went into the house for a moment when she heard an explosion and the roar of the fire. The entire front of the car was engulfed in flames. The windshield was blow out and flames reached 12 feet into the air. After the fire truck put out the blaze, the hood had vaporized. The car was reported as a total loss by the insurance company. The heat from the fire was so intense it ignited the F 350. It too was declared a total loss. I do not know the cause of the explosion in the Journey. The fire captains report states the origin of the fire was the 2012 Dodge Journey. I believe that this has happened before. I also believe that serious injury or death would occur if a person is nearby or sitting in the vehicle.

I left dallas, tex. Sunday, July,20th.headed to long beach, ca. My SUV stopped approx. 4 times.there was like a knocking sound or a jolt before each stop. There were no warnings on the dashboard, no steam from under the hood either, but I noticed when I allowed it to set idle for approx. 5mins. I looked under the hood, nothing appeared to be wrong.the SUV restarted.this was repeated 3 more times.I arrived in long beach, ca. At approx.11:30A.M. Wednesday, I drove to las vegas, no problems! returning from there to ca., it stopped again in baker, ca. It was towed to barstow, ca. The tower and the mechanics at the 76 gas station couldn't find a problem, because no lights appeared in the dashboard. I had to sleep at the station overnight in my vehicle. I poured gas treatment fluid in tank. It seemed to help. The next morning I returned to long beach with no problems. I have not attempted to drive it yet. Will be leaving here to return to Texas on Sunday. Will take SUV to Dodge dealer. Transmission shifts with a clunk between second and third gear. Dealer installed a program update that solved the problem temporarily. Dodge forum suggests this problem is not uncommon. I am concerned about safety issues as well as transmission failure after the warranty period.

My family was in the vehicle (my son was 4 weeks old at the time, my daughter 2) on the New York state thruway and the vehicle stalled out at 65 mph. My husband was able to maneuver to the side of the road and restart the vehicle. About 15 miles later, it happened again. We exited the highway and the warning indicator light illuminated. Shortly after that, the low fuel light illuminated. It's happend two other times since that first incident. The dealership has told me that they can't recreate the incident and the codes aren't active so they can't verify the scenario. Chrysler has told me there is nothing they can do. The vehichle in unpredictable, unreliable and in my opinion, unsafe. I did a google search on the issue and found a forum indicating stalling issues with Dodge Journeys dating back to 2008. The responses from service professionals is astounding - everything from it being a result of the vehicle just being washed to key fob deprogramming.

While driving the car on a busy road it suddenly lost power and died while driving it, had it towed to a dealership and it was discovered that the fuel pump fuse had blown, the car is only 1yr old. The second time we were driving down a busy high way and the same thing happened this time it was determined that the fuel pump was bad the dealer replaced it, there have been a multitude of problems with this vehicle from the ac not coming on to the radio/nav screen not coming on when the car is started. Brake problems seems to be the next thing that is rough on this vehicle.
