I was driving down the highway with my two kids when I had turned my bright lights on then off again as cars were coming when the windshield wipers turned on. They will not turn off, the high beams won't turn on and my blinkers do not work as well. Everytime I start the vehicle the windshield wipers turn on and cannot be turned off again. Everything in the switch that controls all of these features is useless and a huge safety issue. Luckily we were not hit turning off the highway headed home.

My truck first started with my drivers side taillight going out. It don't work when my lights are off, but when my light out on it works prefect fine. When I first notice this was when I went to get in my car during the day and my neighbors who was parked behind me told me my taillight was out and was the led taillight. I believe there is as electrical issues there. And secondly, my airbag light come on. The vehicle was on a city street and all I did was turning a corner and it came on and still on. Thirdly, when it raining outside driving and stop at a red light, when it turns green and I proceed to go and my tires slide my radio would restart like I just cut my truck on. Everything happened at different times, but the most recent is the airbag light coming on.

This issue occurred regardless if the car was in motion or stationary. It also occurred if the motor was turned on or not. The license plate light was out, but it was not a bulb issue. The center rear brake light (on the tailgate) was out, but it was not a bulb issue. This is a safety issue. The tailgate wiper would not return to the home position when turned off. It would remain wherever it was when the switch was turned off. This was a visibility issue. The key-less entry fob would not unlock the car doors. This was not a fob battery issue. This was very problematic for passenger doors which could not be unlocked from inside or outside the car. This was brought to a dealer for repair. They diagnosed the car with having split wires in the lift gate. I am concerned that split wires could have caused a short and eventually a fire. Additionally, a short could have caused other electrical systems of the car to fail while in motion.

The antennae allows water to enter underneath it, seems its not fully sealed all around and it allows water to enter vehicle. Liner has water rings and rear left floor gets pretty damp. Saw the same water rings in a 2010 Journey. Rusting out any metal and or electrical components not seen.

When opening the back hatch, all the doors will randomly lock or unlock. The hatch light does not work. The rear window, back hatch, wiper cleaner will not work. Attached is a picture of the wiring harness for the back hatch. All the wires have been cut just from regular opening and closing of the hatch due to the fact where it is located and that when the hatch is closed it bends all that wiring in half. As you can see from the picture at least 5 are completely broken and many more are almost completely cut.

Wow!!!!!!!!!! is all I can say, I can't believe the amount of problems this car has. With that being said I'm hoping that since I financed this vehicle, that the finance company will help me because this dealership "clearly" sold me a lemon and I'm sure they know it is. Everything electrical in my 2012 Journey started surging to the point where I thought it was going die on me while driving on a highway here on vancouver island B.C. Canada. I've had problems with the push button start ( sometimes 4 attempts to start it are needed ). I really love the vehicle with the cost to repair modern days cars, I think I want to find a way to return it ( it's only been 5 months since I've had it ). the dealership says it's probably the battery and offered to replace it so on the 27th of this month, I will take it to the dealers and try to return it all together. None of us should be having issues like this and I'm really disappointed with Dodge and how they're "not" doing much to help anyone. Sadly these vehicles are "lemons" and should all be recalled and junked imo. Sorry to hear so many other's have problems too, just keep your roadside assist up to date lol cause I feel we're "all" going to need it eventually and who wants to be stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Vehicle would not start after work. Started fine in the am before going to work. After work, after 3 times of trying to start the vehicle was able to get it started to drive over to autozone to hook up to a computer. Battery had to be replaced. 2nd incident was on 3/17/15-Journey lost electrical power while driving home causing radio shut off, lights on dash continued to flash (abc, traction control, airbag) was able to get home and vehicle RPM's went to 4000 and shut itself completely off. 3rd incident was on 3/19/15-driving vehicle back to Washington to auto shop to be worked on, completely shut off 4 times within a 20 mile drive and RPM's continued to jump each time before shutting off between 4000-5000. Phone call from auto shop on 3/20/15 stating alternator is not working and is on back order to do recalls.

My 2012 Dodge Journey rear windshield wiper is acting up. It won't start unless the wiper switch is off and the car is in reverse. It will not work if I have the switch on. Also, I have one tail light that's bothersome. If I open any of my doors, all of the tail lights work. When I turn my lights on, one of my tail lights appears to be out along with my license plate lights. I'm not sure what could be causing these problems.
