My kids and I were coming from my eye doctor's appt after my follow-up cataract surgery. Luckily, it was too early for lunch so we started home. When we got off of the interstate, the car started slowing down. I nursed it to get the 10 miles home. I coasted into my repair shop. The transmission went out after only 129,000 miles. I had it repaired only because I really like the car and it is paid for. It now has 154,000 miles without problem with the transmission. Have had to replace alternator, brakes in front, hub assembly in rear and rear pads and rotors. Either I am being ripped off or this car is crap. I had a 1999 Explorer that had 156,000 miles on it when I sold it and had none of these repairs.
