CarComplaints.com Notes: This is a classic example of why you should avoid the first model year of a new car. Sure, it's new and shiny but there's going to be some growing pains.

The 2005 Magnum has problems with the gear shifter getting stuck, a shaky and sometimes stalled engine and transmission failure at 75,000 miles.

Let someone else deal with those headaches.

I am only able to use single key. When using other key, it shuts the car off. Also the insides of both keys became detached at battery connection. Fixed by "soldering" the battery connection to the green board inside with super glue.

Dealer Lakeland Dodge told me they had a batch of bad diodes ,they replaced the battery and charged me for it when they knew it would not fix the problem. Told me it would cost me almost $400.00 to replace them.

Was there ever a recall on these keys for this problem? Ive heard both y and n. If so what should i do these are expensive. Im without now. I purchased 2 new keys non-remote type and the dealer wants 45.00 to cut those just so I can have back ups while I get together the funds of 160.00 each.
