Truck has had very little heat since I bought it. I have changed thermostat twice. 195deg. Burped the heating system and have a piece of plywood in front of the radiator. Working the truck. Like going up a steep hill. It will blow heat, but it can idle all day and not be warm in the cab if it's under 30 degrees outside.

Someone told me about changing a "Heat modulator valve" or" Relay" located on the passengers side fire wall. So far I haven't found this Valve/Relay.

Any Ideas would be great.

Ram 1500 Laramie SLT 5.9L V8

Heat went out in the start of winter. Replaced the thermostat but that wasn't it, determined it was the heater core that went bad. I was not going to pay that much money to get it replaced so I stuck 2 pieces of cardboard in front of the radiator to make the engine warm up faster so I could get some excess heat from that.
