In addition to A/C, the transmission has problems, power steering pump failed twice, paint wear on truck after 90 days, u joints broken, cracked dashboard ... How much can an owner of a dodge take?

Ready for a new truck now and i drive right past the dodge dealers!

Its now 2010, and this will be the third A/C system in this truck! The first replacement was in 03 and still under warranty, now it has 85,000 miles on it and its stop working again. The service dept. manager told me that this happens all the time with the dodge trucks. I called the big office and the case manager to me that their was nothing they can do because it is out of warranty. I guess they just don't care about the little guy that keeps them in business. You would think that they would listen to the customers that keep them in business and want to make them happy and keep coming back, but as you can see, they just don't care.

Ram 1500 SLT Quad 5.9L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 82,000 miles

Driving across the desert my AC went from AC to defrost. Then it went from Defrost to Heater position. This happened for about 2 hours of driving. Took to repair shop where it started to magically work. Every so often it still goes back and forth from the AC to defrost / heat.
