This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
There is vibration when hitting a bump at 60-65 mph. Dealer has replaced front tie rod.but, it has not remedied the problem.*akconsumer adds that this is not just vibrations but intense ascillations that alternate left to right. The bouncing makes the vehicle difficult to control and will not subside until broughtr to a complete stop. Upon checking several times, the tires were choppy and needed replacing, the track bar needed replacing, and a special part for the tie rod was ordered, also the left mirror was not heating, also the clock spring was replaced, also tires were showing wear..
Drivers side and passengers side mirrors shake/vibrate at highway speeds making it difficult to see approaching traffic.eventually this will cause a accident. I returned the vechicle to the dealer and had the drivers side mirrior replaced but this replacement suffered from the same shaking problems at highway speeds.I told the service rep. But he said they all ( Dodge pickups 1500-2500 series) suffer from the same problem and they are waiting for a tsb on the problem. I also have a friend with the same truck and the same problem.
Problem #1: front suspension bottoming out on speed bumps, and at low speed bumps. Vehicle frame is smacking down on top of axle. Front suspension bushings wearing out prematurely. Problem #2: driver door mirror glass loose. Dealer installed new mirror, still loose, ordering a second mirror. Problem #3: engine shakes at start up and while idling. Also gas mileage has not improved.
