Transmission prematurely failed, causing vehicle to die on road. Vehicle had to be towed to dealer. Dealer will replace transmission. Prior to incident, consumer noticed cruise control light came on.
When letting go off acclerator vehicle will surge. This happens when coming to a complete stop or just slowing down. Contacted dealer, and dealer will look into it.
Applying clutch will not disengaged cruise control. Instead, engine will rev up to redline and turn itself off. On 2 occasions, consumer turned off cruise control and shifted into neutral to coast to a stop light when suddenly engine began to rev. Dealer claimed vehicle was designed this way, and there was no solution. Therefore, consumer was driving an unsafe vehicle.
Cruise control does not disengage when clutch is depressed. Engine begins to increase RPM's under no load condition. Have to either hit the brake pedal or manually disengage crusie control.
