On a 30 mph frontal center crash air bags did not deploy causing bodly injury, Chrysler investigation #8126432 the fond open squib system at airbag and stated that the air bag failure was do to wires that ripped loose when steering column collapsed.
The airbag warning light came on and stayed on the day after I purchased my vehicle. The dealer was immediately contacted and they advised that the airbag would most probably not deploy in the event ot a collision. I was also advised they had a previous occurrence, recently, of the same nature and believed it might be somehow caused by an anti-theft system the dealer installs on all their vehicles.
