Truck has intermittently started off an on the entire time I've owned it (10 months). Truck died while on the highway and had to coast to a stop truck now wont start at all I've taken it to the dealership multiple times and they've replaced the fuel pump, wiring harness. Same symptoms appear after both "repairs".
2011 Ram 1500 sport with tipm-7. vehicle started having problem starting, I took it to a repair shop and it was diagnosed as a loss in fuel pressure. Replaced fuel pump. Did not fix problem. After research found out this truck has tipm-7. repair shop verified this. The injectors were checked and were fine. Engine runs perfectly after start. Diagnosis faulty fuel pump relay. The same fuel pump relay that Chrysler recalled 230,000 vehicles in 2014 and an additional 467,000 vehicles in 2015. Why won't Chrysler fix their screw ups?
When refueling the vehicle at a typical gas station, and the station's fuel pump shuts off automatically, fuel comes up the fuel filler neck and washes down the side of the vehicle and onto the ground. This does not happen every time, but does happen most of the time, and at various station locations and various station companies. I've read other reports that indicate this is an issue that has affected other owners of similar vehicles. As soon as I described the problem to the service manager at the local Dodge dealer, he was familiar with the problem. Per the service manager, this issue has only been addressed with regard to a few vehicle models and years, and this one is not covered. Working with Dodge customer service, a case number has been opened. The Dodge customer service rep spoke with the service manager at the local Dodge dealer, and they were able to lower the cost of the labor to replace the fuel tank filler tube, however we will be expected to pay for the part and the repair for a known defect. Please note that the 'when did this happen' and the "about how many miles were on your vehicle at the time of the incident' fields don't really apply, as this is an ongoing issue, and can happen any time I go the the gas station to fill up the vehicle. The date I provided for the 'when did this happen' field is the date that I visited the local Dodge dealer and spoke with Dodge customer service.

"takata recall" my 2011 Ram 1500 stoped in the middle of the city street and steering wheel got hard and it was hard to start up. So I took it to get fixed they said it was the fuel pump so we replaced it, then I would turn the key and it would stay stuck trying to turn on killed my battery bought another one changed the fuel pump again now the fuel pump will not turn off until I pull the fuse now the say it's the tipm I called the dealer and said no recall but I'm having all the problems as the cars that do! I put all that I had to get a reliable truck for my kids and I and this happens.
Tipm (fuel pump relay) does not let the truck start. Its not all the time mostly in cold weather. I have been stuck out with the truck not starting. Dealer has diagnosed the problem. 1500 to get it repaired. Vehicle was stationary. Driver and passenger side led courtesy mirror lights don't work all the time. Evidence of moisture on lenses.
The contact owns a 2011 Ram 1500. The contact stated that fuel spilled back out after the fuel tank was filled. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 110,000.
We have been having increasing problems with Dodge Ram will not start sometimes can take 4 hours to restart. It turns over but fuel pump is not egageing windows will sometimes go down N then sometimes only creep up and down its like truck has a mind of its own. Had it to be fixed a number of times to be totd its fix when its not only not fixed but problem is getting increasingly worse. My truck is a 2011 with 39000 miles on it.
Fails to start, fuel pump shuts off while driving causing truck to stall multiple times on city streets to and from work and on the highway 2X driving to visit relatives, tipm not sending signal to the fuel relay, had 4 mechanics including 2 Chrysler service shops to finally diagnose the tipm failure, will have further documentation upon replacement of tipm from Chrysler dealer.
The vehicle has a bad tipm, the fuel pump relay does not work and the vehicle will not start at all now. The first incident occured as I making a left hand turn across oncoming traffic. The vehicle stuttered and stalled. Immediately afterwards it would take several attempts to start the vehicle. Now it will not start at all.
While driving down the road the truck stalled and ignition systems went dead. Had several issues days prior to incident where battery was dead, starting vehicle problems and stalling repeatedly. Dealer had to relpace tipm $1280.74. I was told that they were no current recalls on this part, contrary to online information.
When pulling out of business driveway onto busy rd., truck just died in middle of road. Had to get tow to shop and had fuel pump replaced. Fuel pumps don't just go out at 30,000 miles all at once but, this one did and I was told this was a common problem on these trucks. Sitting crossways in the middle of a busy road is definitely unsafe! thank the good lord for the good samaritans who helped me push it out of the road, I am 68 yrs old and not in the best of health.
I have a 2011 Ram 1500 big horn 4X4 with the 5.7 hemi motor. Prior to date mentioned I have been experiencing trouble starting it. On the date specified I was driving 70 mph on highway when motor died and lost control of vehicle. Almost causing a major accident with the motorists around me. I also nearly avoided an overpass and almost was rear ended. Took to dealership to check and was told was fuel pump. I refused service due to excessive cost to replace. I did my own test and found my fuel pump relay to be defective witch cannot be replaced because it is part of the tipm. Chrysler will not replace
Vehicle lost power in traffic, unable to use hazard lights. Towed to mechanic informed the tipm needs to be replaced. This ties in with an earlier repair involving the fuel pump that was continuously running.
Every time I fill the truck with gas, once the tank is full the nozzle shuts off and a second later gas overflows out of the filler tube all over me the truck and the ground. I have found that this has been an issue with other Chrysler vehicles and they have been repaired. This is a very major safety issue. The dealer noe Chrysler will repair without charge.
Just took my vehicle into the shop on 2/17/15 due to the battery being dead as a result of the fuel pump running all night. Aaa certified shop just informed me it would cost $1600 to replace the tipm and program it for my key etc. There is a faulty fuel pump relay inside the tipm and I have to replace the entire module. This issue is most likely related to the durango/Jeep recall for the exact same issue, as well described in the class action lawsuit. It is not covered by any warranty.
While slowing down to make a turn, the engine stalled out. This has happened once before approximately 1 month prior. During both instances, I coasted through the turn to a stop but had difficultly steering and braking. Both times the vehicle restarted. I believe in other circumstances this issue may cause a crash situation. I have researched for recalls and bulletins but found none. I have, however, found many online internet complaints about this same or similar problem.
