The contact owns a 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. The contact stated that the small battery in the vehicle had malfunctioned on several occasions and the vehicle could not be started. The contact indicated that the battery had been replaced by the dealer on at least 5 separate occasions. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 25,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford C-max hybrid. The contact stated that the 12-volt battery did not stay charged. The battery died overnight and was jumpstarted. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (koerner Ford of syracuse, syracuse, NY, 315-474-4275) where the battery was recharged and restarted the vehicle. A diagnostic test was performed, but the technician was unable to pinpoint the source of the failure. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure was not repaired. The contact complained to the state attorney general and was referred to NHTSA. The failure mileage was 30,000.
