Purchased the 1998 Expedition with 12,000 miles during 1999 at a Maryland Dealership (Program Vehicle). Ford honored the remaining warranty. I changed the oil and performed all other engine and tranny maintenance every 3,000 miles or as suggested in the manual. The engine burns about one quart of oil every 1,000 miles and the tranny slip is horrible. The suspension creaks a lot as well. Not sure about fixes. Don't want to spend any money because the vehicle has 200,000 miles on it and primarily used by my kids to and from school. Any suggestions with these problems?
