I AS OLD THAT THIS TANNY HAS BEEN ON THE MFGING LINE SINCE 1998 . IT IS A 5R556. FORD KNOWS ABOUT THIS AND HAS DONE NOTHING .

THE COST TO REBUILD IS $3000.00 . ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! THERE IS NO RECALL. FORD DENIES EVERYTHNG! THIS IS MY 2ND FORD. I WILL NEVER , NEVER, NEVER BUY FORD AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO HELP FROM BIG"FORD" . SCREWING AMERICANS. NO WONDER THE JAPS ARE OUT SELLING US. FORD IS WILLING TO SELL DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS AND NOT CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY .

Wow! I had no idea that there were so many problems with the Explorer tranny. This seems to be an ongoing problem with these trannys that Ford will not fess up to. I now understand that even after paying mucho $$$ to fix... the problem just comes back.

THIS SHOULD BE A FORD RECALL. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD!!!
