Anytime I go over a bump I hear a loud clunking noise from my front end. Anyone have this problem as well?

truck has a cluck sound when i turn hard or going over bumps or uneven pavement. could be suspension or steering. also noticed that my dust cover or boot cover that covers my strut cracked in front. Brought it to dealer said boot cover really isnt an issue took a test drive with tech he def heard it. but not sure what it was. said drive it for a lil more if it gets worse come back throw it on the rack. this is just over 36000 miles. it started right b4 36000. it bothers me every time i hear it. i will be bringing it back soon. ill keep it posted.
