Known problem, defective part. Must of been a lousy lawyer to lose the class action suit. Ford should be ashamed to fight this

Took my vehicle (F-150) for Virginia State Inspection 12/11/18. (Front and Rear Brakes are a required inspection item) Mechanic noted that brakes were in yellow condition. Took my vehicle in for 1/22/19 for oil change, tire rotation, brake inspection. Mechanic stated that the lug nuts were "swollen and the wheels could not be rotated and the brakes could not be inspected." All maintenance since new purchase was conducted by the same dealership (Cowles Parkway Ford-Woodbridge, Virginia). Discussed issue with Service Department Manager and Ford Motor Company Customer Service--no resolution provided!

If the lug nuts are swelling from water intrusion and/or corrosion of two dissimilar metals (galvanic), then this is a manufacturer defect and should be covered with an immediate Safety Recall. If the vehicle gets a flat tire, the lug wrench provided with the truck, will not work and the car will be disabled with a NO means to repair at that location.

If the brakes are a required inspection item and can not be checked, the vehicle can NOT pass inspection. If the brakes fail, the vehicle could crash and a someone could be killed!! This is a SAFETY ITEM that Ford Motor company needs to correct BEFORE someone is injured or DEAD!!

Took our truck to the Ford dealer to have it serviced (which we do faithfully) and they told us the lug nuts needed to be replaced or they could cause trouble in the near future, as in stranded beside the road with no way to remove them!
