2018 Ford F-150
TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- Some 2018 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.3L engine built on or before 7-May-2018 at Dearborn Assembly Plant or on or before 31-May-2018 at Kansas City Assembly Plant may exhibit an illuminated MIL and/or runs rough condition with DTC P0192 and/or P0193. Various other DTCs may be set. This may be due to engine harness chaffing at the right cylinder head near connector C1056 at the cylinder head core plug boss. The connector will need to be removed from the retainer to inspect the back side of the harness for any damage. Repair as necessary. Make sure to wrap the exposed wiring with Rotunda Coroplast Electrical Wire Harness Tape (RTTP part number NAI837X or equivalent) and reposition the harness to prevent future chaffing concerns. For claiming, use causal part 12A581 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
